PROJECT OVERVIEW
PMK Development
A larger footprint, cleaner flow, and a more refined finish.
Chevy Chase was conceived as a major residential addition and renovation that would expand the home’s usable footprint while elevating the experience of the interior. The design intent centered on improved openness, better day-to-day functionality, and a finished product that felt cohesive from old structure to new.
PMK Development managed the project with a focus on sequencing, material quality, construction coordination, and execution discipline so the completed home would feel intentional rather than pieced together.
SCOPE OF WORK
What PMK delivered.
Residential addition integrated into the existing home structure
Interior renovation and layout improvements
Coordination of framing, finishes, and installation sequencing
Cabinetry package integration
Stone countertop installation and finish detailing
Construction management from planning to final execution
EXECUTION
Challenges, coordination, and approach.
Strong residential case studies do more than show finished photos. They explain the thinking, coordination, and project control required to get from concept to completion.
KEY CHALLENGES
01
Connecting new square footage cleanly to an existing structure
02
Maintaining design continuity between original and newly built areas
03
Managing the order of work across structure, interiors, and finish trades
04
Delivering a finished product that feels cohesive rather than renovated in pieces
PMK’S APPROACH
01
Careful sequencing of field work to reduce rework and protect schedule integrity
02
Close coordination between structural scope and finish scope
03
Material-forward execution to preserve the intended design character
04
Hands-on project oversight to ensure alignment from plans through final detailing
IN PROGRESS
Construction in motion.
Framing, integration, active site conditions, and craftsmanship — captured to make the work feel managed and intentional.
RESULT
A more functional and elevated home.
The completed project delivered added square footage, improved livability, and a more refined architectural feel. The result is a home that reads as intentional, modern, and built around long-term use rather than short-term cosmetic change.
WHY THIS MATTERS
This is the kind of project that helps future clients understand not just what PMK built, but how PMK thinks, manages complexity, and executes quality work.
